Well, I guess this is the part where I bear it all for all the thousands of readers who are dying to know...

I'm Brooks Slaughter and I'm 31 years old. I graduated from Towson University Several ago with a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Media & Film. I live in Florida but grew up in Ocean City, Maryland. I've always enjoyed tons of different sports but especially love surfing & mountainbiking.

I've been riding a shortboard for years now and just a couple of years ago discovered mountain biking. I'd like to think of a cool reason for the change (I'm training for downhill racing in England!) but really it was because of --- my beer gut. The war against fat was being lost...my B.G. was gaining ground. Everytime I turned around it seemed I was participating in some kind of gut-pushing, late night, beer drinking nonsense. Biking seemed to be the only thing that could save me. {fade up slowly}

Ladies and Gentlemen today I stand before you a changed man. Seriously though, I have a surfer's soul, but I really love to bike. If you can find something you actually ENJOY, then burning some fat or building muscle (or writing stupid stories) comes a lot easier.
